I have always been a man of a small amount of wealth. I dress how I please and do what I want most of the time, and I enjoy a bit of the flashy side of life. Who could really blame me? When I wrecked my Porsche early last year I decided it was time to turn to something with a little more class – and a whole lot more safety features. I was going to go with Audi this time.

Now, you would think getting Audi Finance might be a little rough – especially after just having crashed one luxury care. I believe the Wall Street Journal is a great paper. But people often believe that reading it will give them great investment ideas. I happen to disagree with this thinking. Sure, it’s always helpful to have access to good business news, but having a Wall Street Journal Subscription is not going to magically turn you into a savvy investor.

If investing is your end goal, a better option in my opinion is the Investor’s Business Daily. The paper has a great section called the Big Picture, which gives you an overview of the markets and even tells you whether or not we are in a bull market or bear market. Another benefit of this paper is their rating system, which can be used alone to get some pretty good results. But be aware that Investor’s Business Daily is geared toward growth investing. In economically difficult times like these, such stocks don’t always perform the best.
