EHS and the Damp is Gone!

Our skirting board heating from EHS (Efficient Heating Solution) was fitted after we’d had a mild damp problem corrected. We live in an area prone to damp and have always found it difficult to keep those little black spots away from the upper corners of our rooms, and on the backs of our curtains.

Our damp proofing contractor actually recommended the EHS as a long term way to minimise the presence of damp in our house. We looked into the cost and worked out that, with the savings we are going to make on our heating (the Efficient Heating Solution can knock between 30 and 40 per cent off the heating bills for the house), the price of installing it was very reasonable.

Installation was quick and painless. Our contractor removed all the old heating pipes and radiators and fitted the EHS to our existing boiler. Now we have a heating system that warms our walls and helps keep damp away. The air feels drier to breathe and there’s no mould spots developing high up on the walls or around the edges of the ceiling.

I was slightly concerned about the children when I first saw the Efficient Heating Solution being unpacked. The metal fascia looks like it could get warmer than I would be happy with, But the engineer reassured me that the EHS front panel never gets hot enough to hurt or to damage any furniture you have close to it. The heating element inside the system gets hot and sends its air up through a specially designed gap.

What can I say? Our house feels warmer and drier. Thumbs up.
